More Tennessee school districts have considered adding additional security following the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut last month.
Greeneville school officials have already put a police officer in each of the six city schools. Officials in Unicoi and Montgomery counties said they're taking similar actions in their schools as well.
Unicoi County Sheriff Mike Hensley said a resource officer will be inside each school until the end of spring semester.
Officials in Davidson and Rutherford counties are also considering school security. One district said it might add an intruder lock for classroom doors and put in a digital security system in each school.
