Two Roane County brothers charged but never convicted in a shootout which killed a Roane County deputy are under arrest again and should appear before a judge Monday morning.
Authorities are staying tight-lipped about Rocky and Leon Houston's latest arrest.
The two men were charged but not convicted in a 2006 shoot-out that killed two people, including a Roane County deputy.
Federal agents came in and arrested Rocky and Leon Houston Friday night through a search warrant.
This weekend, an officer on scene reported that a U.S. Attorney was present with authorities.
As for what the search warrant was for, family members tell 10News it had to do with the possibility that Rocky owned firearms which would be illegal since he's a convicted felon.
The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives is also involved. They say the investigation is ongoing.
U.S. Marshals are holding the brothers in the Knox County jail.
Court officials tell 10News Rocky Houston has an appearance set for 10:30 a.m. An appearance for Leon has not been confirmed.
10News will have crew there and keep you posted on wbir.com and 10News on the latest.
