Police officers say a man was shot in East Knoxville Monday night.
Officers responded to a shooting call around 10 p.m. at 2531 Louise Ave. When they arrived, they found 41-year-old Samuel Jackson with a gunshot wound to his buttocks.
Jackson was transported to UT Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect fled on foot.
An investigation is ongoing.
