Residents in one Powell neighborhood are worried how all of this rain and flooding at the old Powell Airport will affect their property.
The Powell Airport has been closed for years, but residents say every time there is a heavy rain, Beaver Creek overflows and the property floods.
They weren't concerned until talk of a building a Kroger shopping center at the site.
Residents tell 10News they are worried if a development is built, all of that water will run in to their homes.
Currently, the land is considered a flood zone, but if the plans for the Kroger are approved, the flooding designation will be removed.
The Metropolitan Planning Commission gave the plan a green light last week. It will go before the City Council next month.
