Workers continue to clear several rockslides and landslides cause by last week's wild weather.

One lane of Hwy. 90 in the Eagan Community in Claiborne County is now open for part of the day. The road will be closed from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.. It will be open from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m.

TDOT started accepting contract bids for work to clear Alcoa Highway Tuesday. Officials expect to award a contract by Wednesday morning. Repair work will start shortly after the contract is awarded.

Part of Newfound Gap Road remains closed between Gatlinburg and Cherokee, N.C. due to a landslide at mile marker 22 on the North Carolina side of the park. The road is open from Gatlinburg to Newfound Gap, and from Cherokee to the Smokemont Campground in North Carolina. Officials said they hope to come up with a repair timeline for the site this week.

The Cherohala Skyway remains closed in Graham County, N.C. following a rockslide only a half a mile from the Tennessee State line. It's not clear how long it will take to make the repairs.
