One place guaranteed to have ice this weekend is the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. The Ice Bears have two games. The first, tonight against the Fayetteville Fireantz. Thursday night is also "$1,000 giveaway" and decade night. On Friday, the Bears host the Augusta Riverhawks. Both games start at 7:30pm.

Its a full weekend of fiddling at the Laurel Theater. Friday, Charlie McCarroll, son of famous Kingston fiddler Jimmy McCarroll, will fill the hall with his bluegrass expertise. Tickets are $12. On Saturday, enjoy a night of acoustic celtic music and stories from Scottish fiddler Jamie Laval. Some of Laval's credits include playing for Her Majesty The Queen and collaborations with Dave Mathews. Tickets to that show are $16 for adults. Both shows start at 8:00pm.
This Friday at Ijams Nature Center, join ghost hunting enthusiasts Jennifer and Wayne Roder as they explore the world of the paranormal. Ghost hunting 101 begins at 6:00pm. The price is $25 for non-members and be advised that this haunting experience is for children ages 12 and up only.
The Oak Ridge Civic Music Association presents the all-day music festival "From Rock to Bach". Performances will be held in the Pollard Auditorium on the campus of Oak Ridge Associated Universities on Saturday from 10:30am to 8:30 pm. Tickets are $12. Kids under 12 get in free.
