A man wanted for bank robbery is now behind bars.
The FBI and Blount County Sheriff's Office say officers took 32-year-old Walter Stephen Lawson, Jr. into custody Tuesday night after a short chase.
He's a suspect in the robbery of the First Choice Community Credit Union on East Broadway in Maryville on January 16.

The suspect, Walter Stephen Lawson, Jr., 32, is described as a white male, 5'11", approximately 205 pounds with reddish brown hair and blue eyes. His head may be shaved and covered in tattoos. He also has a tattoo of a spider on his left hand. He may or may not have a beard.
The FBI has issued a federal warrant for bank robbery for Lawson. The sheriff's office has issued a warrant for aggravated burglary.

The FBI is offering a reward for information leading to Lawson's arrest.
