Strong line of storms heading into East Tenn.

At the time of this posting, all of the 10News viewing area is under a Tornado Watch until 1:00 p.m. as a strong line of storms approaches from the west.

In anticipation of the severe weather, many school systems in Tennessee and Kentucky have either cancelled or postponed classes for today.

The storm caused widespread damage in Middle Tennessee.  10News sister station, WSMV reports at least one death in the storm.

Dispatchers in Scott County have reported that several trees were down on back roads throughout the area.

Knox County dispatchers say a large branch blocked two lanes of traffic on Kingston Pike at Scenic Drive.
