I was hooked on Knoxville within hours of my first trip down here, and I am so excited to call East Tennessee home.
I was born out in California, spent a couple of short years in Florida, but I consider Elkhart, Indiana my hometown. If you haven't heard of the city before, it's about 15 minutes from South Bend, which means yes, you guessed it right, Go Irish! While I am a Notre Dame fan, orange just so happens to be my favorite color and I will be cheering for the Vols along with you guys.
Not too far from ND nation, I graduated from Columbia College Chicago. While in the windy city, I interned with the sports department at NBC, the investigative unit at CBS, as well as Comcast SportsNet. All three stations were amazing opportunities to get experience in the field, covering the Bulls, Bears, Cubs, Sox, Blackhawks, and the 2008 Presidential Election, to name a few.
Post graduation, I ventured to Northeast Michigan. As an anchor, reporter, and producer, I was able to do it all in the small town of Alpena. You could even catch me filling in on weather and sports. Most memorably, my co-anchor and I spent a couple of days at a Muscular Dystrophy Association summer camp and also hosted the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon, which raised record-breaking donations that year.
I moved back to the South Bend area in March of 2011 to join ABC 57, a new station that was getting ready to launch. I had the opportunity to be live in a helicopter, moving Chicago-bound train, and all sorts of cool places thanks to the station's advanced technology.
I'm a coffee addict, huge sports fan, and a total nerd. I enjoy spending time with my family and fiancé, kickboxing, reading, writing, and meeting new people. So, if you have a story to tell, shoot me an email at email@example.com. I would love to hear it, and tell it. You can also turn on WBIR on the weekends to catch me anchoring the morning shows.
