From cutting off welfare for bad grades to telling parents their child is involved in homosexual activity, State Senator Stacey Campfield of Knoxville is no stranger to controversial proposals. Now one group says his actions prove he needs psychiatric care.

The Tennessee Equality Project is launching the Stacey Campfield Counseling Fund where people can contribute cash via Paypal to cover mental health care costs for Campfield.

The Equality Project says, "We think that some good therapy could bring the Senator to his senses and end attempts to legislate homophobic policies in the public schools of Tennessee."
