Family and friends took time Thursday to remember a Knoxville boy whose life was tragically cut short.
Three years ago, 15-year-old Aaron May was killed while sledding with friends alongside Sims Road.
Family and friends gathered near the site of his accident to remember his life and the impact he had on others. His mother says she is thankful for all the support and is glad people come together each year to remember her son.
"He was very energetic, very bull headed, and fought cancer for four years before the accident and was doing very well. He always had an upbeat outlook on life, a very happy person-- always smiling," said Robin May.
Aaron's mother says she still wants the speed limit on Sims Road lowered and a speed bump to enforce it.
