First Baptist Church in Clinton cancelled its first service due to the snow.

The early morning snow created some difficulties for the church commute.

At least 13 churches in East Tennessee and Northern Kentucky either cancelled or postponed services.

First Baptist Church in Clinton cancelled its first service but went on with its second.

"It always creates a unique situation for us, who have events on these days. Do we cancel, do we not? Who can come, who can get out?" Pastor Stan Elliott said, with First Baptist Church.

Eugene McClanahan stood outside on Sunday, greeting churchgoers as they came inside.

"Well I thought I'd get to stay home," McClanahan said, laughing.

First Baptist Church still held its Upward Appreciation breakfast.

"I think we've been a little bit down because of the snow but we still had a lot of people show up. Still have a few pancakes left," said Ginger Page, who helped out during the breakfast.

About 70 people attended the breakfast, which is less than normal.

However, Josh Phillips said he did not have a hard time getting to church.

"Church is one of the things we always try to get to. Rain, sleet, snow, we're like the U.S. mail," Phillips joked.

Pastor Elliott went on to say, "Their faith is important to them. So unless it's just horrible, yeah, they will come and be a part of worship."
