Figures released Wednesday by the Distilled Spirits Council show Tennessee whiskey spiked in 2012.
In all, revenue increased by more than $2 billion. Kentucky bourbon sales also increased.
Jack Daniel's is made in Lynchburg, out in Middle Tennessee. It is still the dominant brand in the Tennessee whiskey category.
