Former Knox Co. tax attorney granted judicial diversion

Judge Mary Beth Leibowitz has granted judicial diverson to Chad Tindell, Knox County's former delinquent tax attorney.

In December, Tindell and Josh Burnett, Trustee John Duncan, III's former chief of staff, pleaded guilty to facilitating official misconduct.

Tindell will serve one year of unsupervised probation, and paid $677 dollars in court fees.  His last day of work in the Trustee's office was February 1.

Last month, Judge Leibowitz also granted judicial diversion to Burnett.
