Larry asks, " Hey Todd, my allergies are already acting up. What's going on with pollen?"
Hi Larry, the pollen if flaring up in a big way right now.
For the second day in a row, tree pollen is at unseasonably high levels. Right now, we're seeing a lot of maple and cedar pollen-- that kind is usually not out for several more weeks.
Dr. Bob Overholt says what that really means is more runny noses and itchy eyes, but there is one thing you can do right now.
"The important thing for people to remember is if you know you're going to be having spring hay fever, start your medicines now. It's going to be much easier to keep a nose well than to let it get bad and try and get it well," advises Dr. Bob.
