KPD: Missing Knoxville man located in Nashville

According to a press release from Knoxville Police Department spokesperson Darrell DeBusk, a missing Knoxville man has been located in a rescue mission Monday night in Nashville.

The police say 22-year-old D-Andre Whitfield was unharmed when the Metro-Nashville Police identified him.

Whitfield's family has been notified.

The police are asking the public for help locating a 22-year-old Knoxville man who his family says has a mental disability and is at risk for being injured.

According to a press release from the Knoxville Police Department, 22-year-old D'Andre Whitfield was last seen by his mother on Tuesday, February 5th.  He was at his Morgan Springs Way home.

Whitfield is currently without medication.  His mother told police D'Andre is often misunderstood because of his mental disability.  There is a risk he may offend someone without knowing potentially incuring injury.

The police say D'Andre's mother heard he was seen at Knoxville Center Mall the day she last saw him.

D'Andre is described as a 22-year-old black male.  He is 5'8" weighing 190 lbs. with a small black afro and a full beard.  He has brown eyes and a tattoo on the right side of his neck which reads "lil Oozy."
