A small group of organizers gathered in Downtown Knoxville Wednesday afternoon to rally support for President Obama and his policies.
The grassroots group Organizing for Action met at the federal courthouse to talk with East Tennesseans about making progress in America. They spoke about the issues facing Congress and called for Americans to move forward on a variety of issues.
"We're all interested in putting people back to work. We're all interested in the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. We're all interested in improving the education in our country," said Kowetha Mack.
They say their grassroots goal was to influence people in power to reconsider their stance on important issues.
