An East Tennessee school is working hard to help fund its library and playground.

Annoor Academy is holding a fundraiser called Race to fill the Container.

Recycling company, Good Thrift, has put a 40 foot by nine foot cargo container on the school grounds.  If the school can fill it completely with donations within the next couple of weeks, the company will give the school $3000.

The small school says it needs the money to build its library and maintain its playground.

"We need new books, we need a check-out system for our library. Right now, we need new mulch for our playground, our playground is in dire need of mulch and other equipment for it. So it's extremely important. If we don't fill the container we'll be really sad," said Amira Hamed, Event Coordinator for Annoor Academy of Knoxville.

The school is collecting used clothing, shoes, household linens, and stuffed animals through March 5.  The school is located at 724 Foxvue Road in Knoxville.
