A McMinn County woman admitted to police that she intentionally hit her aunt and her uncle with her car.

Kia Rashae Key is now charged with two counts of aggravated assault and vandalism.

In an Athens police report, Key said her relatives "needed to be taught a lesson."

Family members say on Monday, Key intentionally backed her car up, aimed at her aunt and uncle, then hit the gas. Her aunt was hit and tossed 20 feet. Her uncle was sent flying into another car.

Both survived, with a few broken bones.
