Scott County commissioners have set a final deadline to have funding in place to re-open the county's hospital.
Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution Tuesday night that sets a deadline of February 28 for SM Promen to have its funding secured.
If the operator can't prove it has sufficient funding to operate a hospital by that date, then the county will terminate the deal.
The hospital closed last May, after a contract with Health Management Associates ended, and the company pulled out.
