Knoxville police believe a hit-and-run incident Sunday evening, which injured a motorcyclist, was a case of road rage.
The accident happened at the intersection of Clinton Highway and Treemont at approximately 6:15 p.m.
According to a KPD release, it appears a truck struck the motorcycle on purpose and then fled the scene.
Emergency crews transported the victim to UT Medical Center, and he is in stable condition at this time.
Police are still searching for the driver of the truck. Witnesses said the man was about 40-50 years old and had sandy brown hair. Police believe he was driving a silver 4-door Nissan Titan pick-up truck.
