Part of Jackson Avenue in downtown Knoxville is getting a facelift.
From Broadway to the west end of the Jackson Avenue ramp, crews will add a new 12-foot sidewalk on the south side of the street.
They'll also add decorative lighting.
It's part of the Jackson Avenue Streetscapes Project.
A $620-thousand dollar TDOT grant will fund the renovation.
The project is in its design phase right now. TDOT still has to give the final approval.
