Knoxville firefighters received a generous donation and thank you from the community on Wednesday.

The Texas Roadhouse on Morrell Road caught fire last November. The building suffered damage, but firefighters kept the fire from destroying it. When the restaurant re-opened a few weeks later, it held a fundraising lunch for the firefighters who saved their building.

Wednesday, the restaurant presented the union with a check for $1,500. The money will be used to send children who have been severely burned to a special camp.

"This right here helps send like seven or eight more kids, and it is what we want to do and we want all the kids to be able to go. With this it certainly helps out a heck of a lot," said Capt. Kevin Faddis.

Fire officials believe the fire at Texas Roadhouse was intentionally set. They are still searching for a suspect. There is a $1,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
