The Tennessee Highway Patrol along with the Knox Co. Sheriff's department responded to a 911 call after a Knoxville Police vehicle was involved in a four car crash Friday night.
According to a report, the crash happened near the intersection of E. Emory Road and Andersonville Hwy. in the Halls community.
Crews arriving on scene found that no one was injured in the crash, but one driver was taken into custody. Officials say alcohol may be a contributing factor as well.
The officer involved was off duty at the time and was not injured. The police vehicle was driven away from the scene.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation.
