The winter weather didn't stop hundreds of owners and their pets from having some fun in downtown Knoxville Saturday afternoon.
A jazz band helped set the scene for the 6th annual "Mardi Growl" parade and festival. Hundreds of dog lovers and their four-legged friends dressed up in festive outfits and paraded through downtown to promote healthy and happy lifestyles for pets.
The money raised through Saturday's event will go towards Young-Williams Animal Center.
The animal center gave out awards to several dogs, including best costume, best Vol spirit and best pet-owner look alike contest.
