Hawkins County Sheriff's Office arrested a man on felony charges for making methamphetamine Saturday.
Deputies said in press release sent Sunday that Brandon Howe Ramey, 20, made suspicious and frequent purchases of pseudoephedrine over the past two years. Pseudoephedrine is a necessary ingredient to make meth.
Officials detected Ramey's number of purchases through the Tennessee Methamphetamine and Pharmaceutical Pseudoephedrine Purchase Database and the National Precursor Log Exchange Database.
Ramey is being held in the Hawkins County Jail under a $75,000 bond. Ramey is scheduled to appear in court on March 4.
The Hawkins County Sheriff's Office said more people could face charges as the investigation unfolds.
