Police are continuing to investigate how a teen was shot in the foot after a church youth event Monday night.
According to a press release from the Knoxville Police Department, a verbal argument turned into a fight in the parking lot of 2650 Boyds Bridge Pike after a Young Life event.
The police responded to the disturbance just before 9:00 p.m. When they arrived, they found a male teen had been shot in the foot.
The shooting victim was taken to Children's Hospital by ambulance. His injury was non life-threatening.
Police say witnesses told them several shots were fired with one hitting the teen.
