The Morristown Police Department is deploying its severe weather plan. In a press release, the police are urging drivers to stay off the roads unless it is necessary.
While in the severe weather plan, officers won't respond to minor crashes. They will respond to wrecks with injury.
They urge drivers in a wreck without injury to exchange information at the scene and report the wreck to the police department within 72 hours.
The police will also respond to other emergencies involving life-threatening injury. They say to expect tele-service reports or delayed response for other calls.
