An injured Knox County football player was the focus of a lot of prayers Wednesday night.
Koby Hyde was seriously hurt in a car accident recently. He does not attend Callahan Road Baptist Church, but some of his friends do, and they gathered there for a service to ask God for his recovery.
People left messages for Koby on a mirror in the room, and the youth pastor says they'll stay up until he gets better.
"Based on what I know from his friends, Koby is a great kid, super nice, just loves people, got a great smile and has obviously impacted a lot of people around him," said Youth Pastor Jesse Holden.
The pastor says Koby is heavily sedated. He says the teen opened his eyes slightly and squeezed a nurse's hand Wednesday.
