Let's get this out of the way... supercalifragilisticexpialidocious now I feel precocious for typing that.
Broadway at the Tennessee series loaded in the other day and we were lucky enough to get a backstage pass with some of the creative people that make all the magic. As well as sit down with Ms. Mary Poppins herself.
The hit Broadway musical has been entertaining crowds at the Tennessee Theatre since Tuesday and will continue doing so through Sunday.
The eye popping colors are going to be amazing to the kids as well as the adults. The little girl in front of us at Wednesday night's performance could not contain herself and had to dance in the aisle a couple of times.
The orchestra and the cast hit all the right notes. The costume changes seem like they would be a little close. The changing sets float as if this is natural occurrence.
The cast delivers songs that many know so well and introduces them to a whole new generation.
We were lucky enough to go through the Mary transformation. It takes a while for all those characters to come to fruition. Also, the wigs that you see are almost all made BY HAND!
A big thanks you to the Mary Poppins folks for letting us play dress up!
