A weekend loaded with musical entertainment kicks off strong Thursday at the Bijou Theatre with Béla Fleck and the Marcus Roberts Trio. Combine the sounds of banjo-aficionado Béla Fleck with the top-shelf jazz piano of Marcus Roberts and you won't be disappointed. Tickets start at $5. Show starts at 7:30pm.

Boyd's Jig and Reel plays host to The Defibulators. Thursday night at 9:00pm, get a full dose of rollicking alt-country. Show is for 18 and up. Admission is free.

Pop-country vocal trio, Gloriana hits up Cotton Eyed Joe's Thursday night. You'll get folky twang and big soulful harmonies on hits like "Can't Shake You" and "(Kiss You) Good Night". The show starts at 10:00pm and is also 18 and up. Tickets are $10.

The Higher Learning Tour makes its way to the Coliseum Thursday night.  Join artists Lecrae, Bone Hampton, Propaganda and DEE-1 for an uplifting faith-based night of entertainment. Show starts at 7:00pm. Tickets are $27.50.

Josh Blue is hilarious, people. You don't want to miss his show at Side Splitters this weekend. Josh has performances from Thursday through Saturday with tickets starting at $20. For showtimes, go to www.sidesplitterscomedy.com.

Come see the Disney classic Mary Poppins brought to life on stage at the Tennessee Theatre. I've heard from one of our Channel 10'ers that the chimney sweep scene is amazing. Tickets start at $37. Go to www.tennesseetheatre.com for showtimes..

Head to Ijams Nature Center for the first ever Ijams Hike-A-Thon. I'm most excited about my friend Erin Donovan's hike with a super hero/zombie theme. Its the perfect combination. Go to www.ijams.org for more information.

Knoxville's largest boat show will be at the Knoxville Convention Center Thursday through Sunday.  The Downtown Knoxville Boat Show will feature everything from pontoons to yachts. Go to www.downtownknoxvilleboatshow.com for more info.

The Knoxville Ice Bears have 2 games against the Louisiana Ice Gators this weekend. Friday night is super hero night and Father's day with the Ice Bears. Saturday, its the first ever Knoxville Idol Singing Competition on the ice. Both games starts at 7:30pm.

I know its been snowing, but believe me, spring is coming! The best way to prepare yourself is at the Knoxville Spring Home Design and Remodeling Show taking place at the Knoxville Expo Center. The event runs Friday through Sunday. Admission is $8 and cash only.

Bex Marshall and Steve Forbert stop by the WDVX stage for a noon show Saturday. It's British electric blues at its best. Price is free for all ages.

The Shed has former Zac Brown Band bassist, John Driskell Hopkins with Balsam Range. Admission is $20 for all ages. Show starts Saturday at 8:00pm.

It's the regular season finale for the UT Men as they host the Mizzou Tigers on Saturday. Tip off is at 4:00pm. If you can't make it to Thompson Boling, you can catch the game on ESPN.

A huge competition going on this weekend is the City Of Knoxville Teen Step Show. The stomping starts Saturday at the Knoxville Auditorium. Day of tickets are $10. Show starts at 6:30pm.

And we end the weekend where we started. Saturday at the Bijou is The Academy Of Dance Arts Ensemble's spring concert. Show starts at 7:30pm. On Sunday, Led Zeppelin tribute band "Get The Led Out" will bring you hits from the 70's super group. That show starts at 8:00pm. For ticket info, go to www.knoxbijou.com.
