Firefighters worked through the night Saturday to extinguish a brush fire on Dollywood's property, and completed operations Sunday morning.

The last of the fire crews left Sunday morning around 7 a.m. Officials said the fire did not damage any of the park's property.

Crews were able to contain the fire after a couple hours on scene.  Authorities said the fire sparked along the tracks of Dollywood's train loop at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday

All fire departments in Sevier County and the Tennessee Division of Forestry responded to the brush fire.  Fortunately, the fire did not threaten any structures.

Dollywood spokesman Pete Owens said the park follows action plans when incidents like these occur.

"They responded wonderfully this afternoon," said Owens.  "They all worked together as a team with the Dollywood team and really worked quickly to put out the fire and get it contained so that it didn't do any additional damage."

Owens said the park expects no delays in operations on Sunday.
