Property owners and vacationers are seeing the damage first hand of the Pigeon Forge cabin fire.

Crews put out the massive fire Monday, more than 24 hours after it began. Now, folks are trying to salvage what they can.

For property owners at the Black Bear Ridge Resort, that means figuring out what areas can remain open, and which need to be closed for safety reasons. For vacationers, it means trying to save something from a weekend they won't forget anytime soon.

"We are just kind of looking at it. We are hoping to find something, but it's all burned up; there is nothing left. The only thing that is left is cinder blocks, pieces of metal, and melted glass," said vacationer Chris Mikulsky.

"Most of the resort is still in incredible shape, but we just want people to understand that resort is not closed necessarily, but there are still quite a few cabins that offer these spectacular views," said Andy Entrekin, a property owner.

Out of the 138 cabins at Black Bear Ridge Resort, about 58 were damaged or destroyed.
