Dinosaurs never go out of style.  Get close to 60 museum-quality animated replicas.  Discover The Dinosaurs returns to the Knoxville Convention Center.  Doors open at noon Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.  Tickets can be purchased at the door.  Learn more about the event on the Discover The Dinosaurs website.

Quilts sound cozy.  180 of them will be displayed at Maryville College Friday through Sunday.  Members of the Smoky Mountain Quilter's Guild are having their annual quilt show.  Vendors will also be on hand.  The group has information listed online.

Saturday is a BIG day in Pigeon Forge!  Dollywood opens for the 2013 season.  Festival of Nations starts things off at the park.  Dollywood opens at 10 a.m. both on Saturday and Sunday.  Learn more about tickets and pricing here.

Does your dog love water?  If so, there is a Dock Diving 101 class for dogs Saturday.  It's from 12-2 p.m. at Wild Wings Cafe in Farragut.  Bring your dog and a dog toy that floats.  Cost is $10.  Dogs must be on a 4' leash at all times when not jumping.  The event is being held by the Smoky Mountain Dock Dogs.

Cat lovers can watch fancy felines compete for titles.  The Springtime In Tennessee cat show will be held at Chilhowee Park in East Knoxville from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Saturday.  More than 35 breeds of cats will compete for prizes at the show.  Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children and senior citizens.  The event is hosted by the Tennessee Valley Cat Fanciers, Inc. which has more information listed on their website.

Wrap up your Saturday with good music.  Knoxville's The Black Lillies take over the Tennessee Theatre.  They're celebrating an album release.  Expect an awesome mix of country, bluegrass and rock.  The concert starts at 8 p.m.  The Tennessee Theatre has more details posted about the album release show.
