A fire delayed their wedding plans, but Thursday, one couple is now husband and wife.

Dannie and Debbie Beecher got married in Pigeon Forge Thursday afternoon. They were supposed to get married on Sunday, but a massive fire broke out.

The couple was staying in a cabin at Black Bear Resort and had to evacuate. Their cabin caught fire, and hot embers burned holes in Debbie's wedding dress, but a Gatlinburg bridal shop was able to repair it just in time for Thursday's ceremony.

"It was worth the wait. This is where we wanted to get married, yup, and it's still beautiful. The chapel has no ashes. It looks just like it did when we saw it Saturday," said Debbie.

That massive fire destroyed 81 buildings, and burned more than 160 acres.

Officials say the fire started at one cabin then spread. The cause is still under investigation.
