Country Music Legend Dolly Parton gave a preview of Dollywood's 2013 season.

The theme park officially opens this weekend.  Gates open at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

This year's preview was filled with new, spectacular entertainment.  The theme: Make Time for Showtime at Dollywood.

Parton unveiled six new shows visitors will enjoy.

The first two new performances premier during the 2013 Festival of Nations.  Cirque Shanghai and Mystic India will run March 23 through April 22.  Cirque Shanghai performers gave a brief performance for news media.  If you like Cirque Du Soleil, you'll like Cirque Shanghai.

My People-Dolly's Letter Home will run from May 10 through January 4.  Parton's brother and sister, Randy and Cassie, will join other family members singing songs focusing on their family's love for the Smoky Mountains and about their sister who would grow up to be a country music star.

The Great American Country Show will heat up the summer stage May 11 through October 26.  GAC-TV is collaborating with Dollywood to bring a fast-paced 40-minute cutting-edge show to the theme park.  The action will cover today's country music.

The Great American Summer runs from June 22 through August 4.  Dollywood is extending it's park hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily during that period.  Those nights will end with Dolly's Nights of Many Colors, a nightly fireworks display synchronized to music.

Dollywood's A Christmas Carol will run from November 9 through January 4.  It's a never-before-seen adaption of the Charles Dickens classic underscored by seven powerful new songs written by Parton, herself.
