Sunday marked the one week since a massive Pigeon Forge fire destroyed or damaged more than 70 cabins and caused nearly $12 million in damages.

Chip and Bambi Hanawalt have owned a cabin at Black Bear Ridge Resort for more than four years.

"Oh wow, I mean there is nothing. There is absolutely nothing," said Bambi as she walked up to where the cabin once stood.
Chip went on to say, "It looks like a war zone. Looks like a World War II video or something."

Nothing can be salvaged from the 1,100 square foot cabin.

The Hanawalt's placed the last bit of new furniture in the home last year.

"We actually had Christmas down here this year. So yeah, we did quite a bit down here. We did every Thanksgiving down here for the past four years," Chip said.

Chip said he is unsure whether they'll rebuild.

The blaze destroyed the whole block, except for one home further down the road.

"I'm gonna wait and see. Wait and see. I know there is a lot of speculation with other people... if they're going to build or not, worried about the same problem happening again," Chip said.

The second entrance into Black Bear Ridge Resort is still blocked off from traffic.
