Spring snow causes some slick spots, but no major problems

Most counties reported slick spots but no major travel problems Tuesday morning during the second day of a Spring snow.

The counties on the plateau reported the most problems with snow covered roads.  Fentress County dispatchers told 10News that crews are salting the roads.  Cumberland County said that Highway 70 west towards the airport had some slick spots.  Dispatchers said that Clear Creek Bridge near Fentress County is pretty bad.

Bell County in Kentucky had some slick spots.  However dispatchers said the roads were not that bad.

In Hamblen County there were three accidents reported on the bridge over 160 Inca Highway on 25 E due to weather.

Several school systems did close or delay classes Tuesday due to the weather.  For a full list click here.

10News Meteorologist Mike Witcher said that morning snow is expected to taper to flurries by afternoon.  He is calling for another breezy and cold day, with a high of only 43 degrees.
