An insurance agent accused of killing a Knoxville woman is out of jail.
Tuesday, a judge agreed to grant a $250 thousand dollar bond to Shawn Smoot. He is charged with murder in the death of Brooke Morris.
Morris was Smoot's former girlfriend and employee. She was found dead in Roane County in November 2011.
A Roane County grand jury indicted Smoot on murder charges last June.
He was arrested a week later in Mississippi, after he failed to show up in Roane County court to surrender to authorities.
Prosecutors have argued that smoot is a flight risk, but his attorneys say he left the state before the indictment.
