A charity effort may make you kick up your heels.
A month-long shoe collection starts Wednesday May 27th in Oak Ridge.
The Earth Day festival in Oak Ridge will once again be kicking off its annual Soles4Souls shoe drive. In the last two years the Oak Ridge effort has collected 15,000 pairs of shoes for the non-profit organization based in Nashville. They clean and ship the shoes here and abroad.
Several schools in Anderson County and Knoxville as well as churches and businesses participate in the one month shoe drive that will end at an Earth Day festival on April 27.
Oak Ridge Student Council members are directing the effort at their school.
