New details are emerging about a former bus driver accused of raping a teenage girl.
Greene County school officials say 49-year-old Jerry Malone also worked as a janitor inside an elementary school. He's charged with statutory rape and buying alcoholic beverages for a child.
Officials say back in October, Malone met two minors and gave them alcohol. They then went to a home where Malone had sex with one of the minors. Officials now say the victim was 17 years old.
In addition to driving both elementary and high school students, Malone also worked as a custodian at Ottway Elementary. The school system suspended him without pay in October, and as the investigation continued, he was terminated in January.
Malone is out on bond.
