The Lady Vols road to the Final Four took a detour when Louisville knocked off top-seeded Baylor Sunday night.
Most of the girls watched the game back at the hotel, and celebrated when the clock hit zero.
"I immediately started running out of my hotel room, started running up and down the hallways screaming. I don't even know exactly what I was screaming. I think I was just in total shock," Cierra Burdick described.
Tennessee emphasized that while they are glad Baylor is out of the bracket, the road doesn't get any easier. Louisville made 16 three-pointers in the win over Baylor, and they are riding a huge wave of momentum.
It was a late night for assistant coach Jolette Law. She had the Louisville scout, and spent most of the night pulling extra game film. Assistant coach Dean Lockwood had the Baylor scout. He joked that he was 95% done with it by the time Louisville won that game.
Tennessee and Louisville will play for a spot in the Final Four Tuesday night. It is a 9:00 ET tip-off in Oklahoma City.
