Young-Williams Animal Center reports great first weekend for 'Puppy Drive'

The Young-Williams Animal Center announced that the first weekend of the "Puppy Drive" was a great success.

The shelter said between Friday and Sunday, people adopted 69 dogs. Compare that number to the previous weekend, the shelter only adopted out 20 dogs.

YWAC is reducing adoption fees to $100 for puppies and $50 for adult dogs.

The shelter said it has been dealing with overcrowding for months and is trying to find more forever homes for the animals. The reduce fees last until April 14.
