A downtown Knoxville street is closed so crews can work on the roof of the City County Building.
Hill Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Walnut Street and Gay Street from at least Monday, April 15th, to Friday, April 26th. The closure will accommodate a large construction crane.
Vehicles will be able to enter and exit the City County Building garage, but vehicles exiting onto Hill Avenue will be able to turn left only.
The city advises drivers in the area of Hill, Walnut, Main and Gay streets should be ready for possible delays, particularly during evening rush hour.
This is the first of three expected closures this year.
