Dozens of Scott County kids are able to have fun and stay active, thanks to your generosity.
Last fall, Channel 10 employees helped community volunteers build a multi-purpose sports field at the Boys and Girls Club of the Cumberland Plateau in Oneida.
You helped us raise more than $25,000 dollars to make it all possible.
Now that the weather is pleasant, the club can use the field. Leaders say the kids played on it for the first time today.
"Everybody is excited, we're actually celebrating Boys and Girls Club Week this week across the country actually, especially here. We've got some fun activities for them today, they're actually going to be playing football on the field and a game of kickball," said director Hank Hill.
In addition to the physical labor and financial donations,
The American Youth Soccer Association, or AYSO, also donated equipment
so the children can play soccer.
