3 cups rolled oats
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup whole or halved raw almonds
6 tbsp. sunflower seeds
6 tbsp. sesame seeds
3 tbsp. wheat germ
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. sunflower oil or safflower seed oil
3 tbsp. honey Directions:
Preheat the oven to 225 degrees F. Toss all the granola ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
Spread thinly on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring once or twice so that the ingredients brown evenly.
Watch carefully. If you forget about it, it will burn easily.
When the granola is golden and the texture starts to become crunchy, remove and let cool.
If you make larger quantities of this recipe, store it in the refrigerator or freezer for maximum freshness. Makes about 6 cups of granola.
May add dried fruit for variation if you like, such as raisins. Presented by:
