Betty Henry's Yeast Rolls

1 cup warm water
1 T. yeast
1 cup shortening
1 cup boiling water
1 egg
3 T. sugar
5 cups self rising flour


Stir yeast into warm water until dissolved.
In another bowl stir shortening into boiling water until melted. Add yeast water to shortening water. Add remaining ingredients combining with a whisk. Place dough in large bowl and cover with cling wrap.Place dough into refrigerator for 1 hour.

Roll out dough onto floured surface.
Cut with 3” round cutter. Squirt butter into center and fold over. Place on greased baking sheet and bake at 375 for 20 min.
