2 1/2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1-1/2 sticks grated butter (best to do this when its really cold)
1-1/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup chocolate chips

In a bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugars, salt and cinnamon. Distribute grated butter through dry mixture. Add buttermilk and combine. Knead in chocolate chips. Drop on a floured surface. Roll out to 1" thickness. Cut biscuits with a biscuit cutter. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet and sprinkle each with a pinch of sugar. Put in 425 degree preheated oven and bake for 12-14 minutes.

This recipe is divine on its own! Its also great paired with jam, cream cheese spread, butter, and of course bacon! Enjoy!
