Buttermilk (Chess) Pie

Ingredients:

½ cup Butter
1 ½ cup Sugar
3 T. Flour
3 Eggs, Beaten
Pinch salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 cup Buttermilk
1 Pie Shell

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350. Melt Butter, beat butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and beat, add vanilla and beat.

Sift dry ingredients together, add alternately with the buttermilk and mix until smooth. Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes.

Pie should be golden brown and knife inserted should be clean; serve warm but not hot.
