Dozens of World War II veterans boarded planes at McGhee-Tyson Airport for the 14th Honor Air Flight Wednesday morning.
They flew to Washington, DC to check out the memorials built in their honor.
The veterans will return home at 8:00 p.m. the same day.
Honor Air is inviting everyone to come to McGhee-Tyson to give these veterans a warm welcome home.
